Pulse iD (part of the Pulse Global group) is looking for a Business Development Director to join our team as we continue to grow our business in the Asia Pacific region. Originally founded by ex-bankers in Melbourne, the company now has offices in 4 locations (Singapore, Hong Kong, KL and Melbourne) across the region so you will have the support that comes with a company that has started to scale, as well as the abundant growth, responsibility and career opportunities that come with a start-up.

Ideally you will have experience in the FinTech industry with relevant knowledge and experience within the loyalty and payments industry selling business solutions into banks, FinTech partners and merchants across ANZ.

Our customers include major banks, financial services organizations, wagering organizations and insurance companies so a background of selling into any or all of these industries would be very beneficial.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Direct and manage all BD functions for Pulse iD across the ANZ region
  • Whilst the focus is on sourcing new business opportunities with financial institutions, SME’s and large merchants, the BD will also be required to manage existing ANZ clients already live in Australia
  • Establish and maintain short term and long term goals for each identified organization/opportunity
  • Achieve annual revenue targets through a mixture of new business sales (direct and via partners and resellers) and account management
  • Represent the company at business meetings, industry trade shows etc
  • Other duties as assigned by the Chief Commercial Officer

Knowledge and Skill Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in a business development function at a FinTech or loyalty solutions company would be ideal (domain knowledge of loyalty and payments industry is essential)
  • Self-starter capable of working independently and with a thorough understanding of what it takes to source and develop new opportunities
  • Effective communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Demonstrable track record selling into the ANZ region
  • Great listening, negotiation, organizational and presentation skills
  • Capable of operating at C level across industries
  • Knowledge of contracting and negotiating

Additional Information

This position will ideally be based in Melbourne but Sydney considered for the right candidate.
